The biggest obstacle to getting opposing camps to recognize their ideological overlap (which is to say, the illusory nature of the left-right paradigm) is that much of the population, especially those most vociferous in their beliefs, simply do not engage with the topic on an ideological level. Their loyalties are secured, in effect, through little more than branding. Just as advertising executives no longer promote the value/efficiency/utility of their product but rather the image the consumer has of themselves as the owner of that product, the various factions of the political class secure adherents by offering them a way to reinforce their preexisting self-conceptions.

And that, regrettably, is a far greater obstacle to overcome.

The right-left dichotomy benefits no one but the globalists. Whilst ordinary folk are distracted as they argue amongst themselves, the ZIM agenda marches on.

While some things never change through history, the biggest change I see since Kropotkin's time is the ability today for centralised mass control via electronic media.

If most people lazily continue to get their opinions from the corporate media there can be little hope of positive change. They will continue to live inside a virtual world created by their controllers.

The simple act of turning off all organs of control is an important component of dissent.

"This limited political traditionalism reminds me of those on the “right” in my native country who remain attached to the Royal Family, to the Church of England, to “parliamentary democracy”, to the glorification..."

I feel your pain across the pond with Trump. The right wing "MAGAS" that worship the man are against so much of what he is doing, esp AI and its push for worldwide CBDC tyranny surveillance and control, yet are silent and support him at every turn. When I comment online they don't even think about what I am saying and kneejerk ridiculous nunbskull things like being a Biden supporter or hating Jews. These are the same people that have said for years that they hate foreign wars and belligerence yet when their "savior" talks tough about Iran, Ukraine Canada and Greenland its OK. MAGAs hate debt but are leaping for joy with 3T more debt via the Big Beautiful Bill on our future generations. They are against unaudited Govt spending but if Trump spends like a drunken real estate developer using other peoples money, all is OK. These same idiots believe our Govt stats on inflation to boost a Tech Bubble priced stock market. I guess they think since God saved him anything goes and will be good. So my enemies seem just like yours and we are surrounded by fools..

Paul - Really enjoyed "Folk Against the Power." Very interesting. Made me think of My Lunch Break re: its ongoing examination of lost history & related important questions that are raised about incredible old world architecture/cities. Have you heard of it?

Description/Info Box: Title: Finding Tartaria? - MYLUNCHBREAK

Tartaria—a name quietly erased from our education system but still visible on old maps, now disguised as Tatarstan. What if this region in modern-day Russia is more than just a coincidence?

With griffins still on their seals, underground windows buried in mud, and cathedrals built on top of vanished structures, the signs are everywhere. We uncover how recycled narratives, AI-like story templates, and impossible construction timelines have been used to hide a lost civilization.

From fire myths to cornerstone extractions and cartoon valentines somehow launching massive architectural careers, the evidence suggests something far more advanced was here—just a few hundred years ago.

This video above (& so many others that it's hard not to binge them one after another) from the My Lunch Break channel (& mirrored here/elsewhere) questions centuries past or old history narratives explain ing buildings' construction that are, frankly, physically & logically impossible. If you are familiar w/this channel, would be interested to get your take on its alternate speculations.

Hi Lucinda. No, I'm not at all familiar with that site, but I will try to have a look at some point.

Thnx Paul. The My Lunch Break history investigation videos don't claim to know exactly what's going on w/old buildings but his speculations are fascinating & ring true to me.

Reminded me of the curious "how were the Egyptian Pyramids actually built" debates over the centuries. And the supposed answers to how any known ancient methods could construct such enormous structures like pyramids were ultimately unsatisfactory.
