For quite a while I've been thinking about the insidiousness of the role money plays in our relationships. The essay was interesting in this light, connecting dots.
I think, given the advanced stage in the season of civilization (Spengler) we're in, that it's mostly a question of hanging on/riding it out into the inevitable conclusion.
