Argentina's president Javier Milei was lionized by the right for his free-market libertarian-neoliberalism speech at the WEF. (As if the denizens of the WEF were opposed to those policies!) They never bothered to dig into why: Milei had just imposed drastic austerity measures on the population as a requirement to receive $Billions in IMF loans. Over 1.5 million people protested.
