The spectacle of Olympic Games will be this year of 2024. Hope the french people don't let it happen. They should make barricades and riots.

Thanks for the refresher. While the time for it is never wrong, these days it's especially right. Orwell's 1984, after all, is now perhaps more timely than ever.

It never ceases to amaze me how accurately Orwell described so many of the key totalitarian concepts increasingly overtly at play in this day and age.

"The appendix, ‘The Principles of Newspeak’, looks back on the Ingsoc period in the past tense, from the vantage point of a more distant future in which the Big Brother nightmare has evidently come to an end and in which some kind of freedom and common sense have been restored." Coincidentally, a few hours before this post, I published a poem that breaks down various aspects of the woke madness. It too "looks back ... in the past tense" for the simple reason that such insanities are unsustainable and have a habit of crashing and burning much sooner than their authors would suppose. https://redpillpoems.substack.com/p/wokeworld-take-1

Great message. We have to believe. As dense as people are, I believe that most will eventually wake up. Even if they haven’t by now, defying logic and sanity. The puppet masters have pushed too hard. They have been too blatant. The number of younger people dying suddenly simply can’t go unanswered. It will hit home for far too many.

Beautiful Paul.. all we have is the truth. I also hope that the deep instinctual knowing of humans will prevail. That which deeply loves and cares for our children and our planet.

Yep, Orwell wrote 1984 about his time. He was British intelligence in Asia and saw some crazy stuff, like the rat cage torture which is in room 101.

Our society got a little bit of Brave New World, but the predator class was cheap and didn't give us what was needed to be "happy" like in BNW in order to have humanity as a domestic pet.

A lot of the totalitarian techniques were based on the past psychological experiments which were both rigged and becoming obsolete as society changed.

The system is collapsing because it depended on think tanks which barely understood human nature and got inaccurate data of human nature. The old propaganda doesn't work on the new people.

Thank you Paul.

Fact:

George Orwell titled his novel "1948", and was not allowed to publish with this title.

So he switched the numbers "48" to "84".

Long post!! I'm so burned out from two days full on readings!! Look forward to reading this , however.
