Just the other day, elaborating on a comment a reader had made with regards to my poem “Unlike”, I commented as follows: “It has been my experience that the "educated" are MORE (and often FAR MORE) "gullible and brainwashed" than "those without pieces of paper on their walls", "education" having been largely reduced to a test of, and an exercise in, compliance/obedience and mindless/robotic regurgitation.
I assume that this is common knowledge to the red-pilled individual.”
I have said it before — and will say it again — that the difference between myself (and doubtless you, enlightened reader), and the average normie is that I/you/we know almost all of what they know, PLUS the truth, which we've sought and often found. They, on the other hand, know only what's been drilled into them, and know little or nothing of the truth that is largely discoverable but which they've been trained to steer clear of at all costs.
Which is to say, that we have two pictures and have decided which is the more accurate, while they have but one ... yet insist that IT is the most accurate. THAT is an astonishing level of stupidity/willful blindness.
You’re describing the orthodox religious mentality versus the ‘rational dissenter’. From the former perspective the ‘educated man’ is one who can quote, word perfectly, obscure passages from a religious text and argue endlessly and to no purpose about their possible meanings without ever questioning whether or not they are credible.
As a keen student of philosophy once said to me "I can't be doing with conspiracy theorists".
I can only wonder whether he is aware of the allegory of Plato's Allegory of the Cave?
I consider myself to have wandered outside the cave and discovered what's going on, whereas he, like other indoctrinated people, behaves as if he is chained to the cave wall, like the Plato's prisoner's.
To remain indoctrinated is to harbour a mind in chains.
Absolutely right and concise summary of the most widespread human disease called stupidity and nativity of herd thinking. Don't cross the line of societal "norms" and you are safe and may even prosper without making intellectual and mental effort. Do as you told, in plain words. Go against the zeitgeists "norms" and brain washing machinery and you are dismissed regardless of depth an seriousness of your hard earned and well researched truth. What's "normal" anyway? Thank you Paul for your relentless digging and excavating of deeply buried true meaning of human spirit. Gives real meaning to the definition of dignity and integrity.
Thank you! There seems to be a common misperception among the 'educated', especially the woke version, that it's only ignorant rubes who are propagandized; completely oblivious to the fact that propaganda isn't just one story. There are levels of propaganda. For each educational, economic and political demographic there is a version of propaganda that is tailored to resonate with them, with each demographic believing their version to be the true story. And though the versions vary in their specifics (to create disunity), they all lead to the same desired outcome: control. The architects of society have spent billions of dollars over many decades to research and perfect their insidious craft, which is why it's been so wildly successful. And because the puppet masters work in and with academia, it's no wonder the 'educated' are the most easily propagandised among us and are more likely to reflexively reject alternatives to official narratives --- to the point that just pointing this out is conspiracy nuttery to them.
Very true, but it's also the case that the formally educated professional class supports the system, benefits from it in many respects, and therefore seeks to protect the system from anything that could seriously undermine it. Self interest at least partly explains their reflexive rejection of any challenges to official narratives.
The biological phenomenon of parasitism is ubiquitous in nature and so it should not be surprising to find an analogous relationship existing between different groups in human society.
Since parasites by definition injure a successfully infiltrated host, the strategy of the parasite must be to conceal its presence and thus minimize the threat of powerful resistance from an aroused host.
It follows that conspiracy denialists likely have some kind of significant connection to a parasitical group that is covertly infiltrating an unsuspecting host population with the intention of capturing its wealth.
Since gullibility is the salient characteristic of the "garden variety normy," they are much more likely to be part of an "unsuspecting host population" than a parasitical group attempting to infiltrate, rob, and enslave it.
By contrast, an attack on "conspiracy theorists" constitutes a defensive reaction that suggests the critic shares undisclosed common interests with the alleged conspiracists.
Probably. My point though is that there are indeed many ordinary people who are most definitely not conspirators themselves, but who nevertheless wield the term "conspiracy theorist" aggressively and with disdain in order to preserve their comfortable worldview.
Although these "ordinary people" are not active conspirators themselves, don't you think that their reaction of strong defensiveness is a fact that deserves a good deal of weight in evaluating whether you can trust them in future dealings?
Is it just their worldview you are challenging? Or does the strength of their reaction demonstrate that your opinion is viewed as threatening to some person close to them or to their own financial security (to give a couple of examples of possible concealed commitments that motivate them)?
Even the law acknowledges criminal conspiracies: conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit fraud, conspiracy to commit theft being the most common. To take the strong stance that there are no conspiracies at the highest echelons of wealth and power is quite “stupid”, with my definition of “stupid” being either an unwillingness or an inability to learn, understand, comprehend.
Three desires result in the thriving of the limited ego-mind identity, aka the false self. They are the desire for (attachment to and fear of losing) Comfort, Convenience, and Certainty. Any challenge to one's precious "what everybody knows" threatens one's ego-identity and one's firm clinging to herd propriety and fear of blasphemy. Fortunately, like all things and circumstances OF this world, these desires are not permanent.
And the "brainwashers" keep working on making them even more stupid, feeling rightful. Hierachy, might be key. The externalisation of authority to someone above. So many examples. Farmers that has deliverd good quality milk for 20+ years, proudly recieve a medal from the king. And take it as a compliment! Military that are decorated by their generals with silly pieces of metal and cloth to hang on their uniform to show us how gullible they are. A phd is possibly the same sort of "decoration". And they are lazy, scared, has mouths to feed, afraid of being bullied/degraded... And often are a piece of shit/stupid.
Your writing are part of what keeps me on living. Thank You!
I am not bothered in the least by insecure, immature 'people' that condescend to me,cast unwitting aspersions and look down toward me from an ignorant high-brow position. There are vast unknown waves of 'people' who will never live long enough to grow to maturity and enjoy creation and life.( Vive la Vida Loca)!( in the real world people grow up and into maturity so shedding all insecurities). I have witnessed many aged folks that living in their miserable half-lives never matured past pubescence. And then they die. Creation i an easel and we are our own life artists. The power and glory are ours. Aleays have been.
Every area of human affairs in which there is a well established corresponding globalist institution is the living proof that that area has been weaponized against humanity with an "inversion of value".
The most obvious of those institutions are GAVI and the WHO, but education has also a sponsoring globalist institution together with science and culture called UNESCO, and, as you pointed out, there too the inversion of value is obvious and "brainwashing" is what has replaced true knowledge.
Absolutely spot-on !

Yes, exactly.
Exactly! They have only their picture, while we recognize multiple possibilities. But they're the 'smart ones'. lol

Heterodox thinker here 😊
You raise an interesting conundrum: are heterodox thinkers cis-intellectuals and if so are they therefore ‘non-binary’?
💯 agree. You are taught to be and think like those who educate you.
As a keen student of philosophy once said to me "I can't be doing with conspiracy theorists".

Thanks Robert
It is a protection. They feel, they see, refuse just to believe..
It is better I am the idiot that them..
They fulfill Asch and Milgram study..
I think of the germans in 1930 ies... they had it the same way..
Totally agree. The only people who don’t like conspiracy theories are conspirators.
Hat tip to Owen Benjamin. It's a good joke, but sadly it's not true. The duped and indoctrinated are equally opposed to conspiracy theories.

Trevor was right:

The man and the dog are in it together!
Methinks you might have recently found yourself on the receiving end of a particularly idiotic denial
Not really, no. Cumulative, rather!

I disagree. The gullible don't like to think they are gullible and thus also react that way.

All governments are conspiracies against humanity.

I agree. Unwillingness to learn is stupidity, regardless of "IQ" or qualifications.
