Lovely piece Paul. I would enjoy a walk through that forest exchanging ideas but only if you keep your clothes on!

I think the bridge you describe is love. The interconnected red of all things.

Even love depends on freedom. Without freedom we cannot live freely. And vice versa.

The gospel according to Paul … beautifully articulated!

“Life-rooted”, has a pleasant, down-to-earth ring to it. No ism-schism in it.

“Indeed, I cannot think of a single such ideology that is based on even one of my two pillars, let alone both.” — And THAT says it all about “ideology”!

Beautifully written and mirrors my own thoughts feelings and pillars. Thank you Paul

Life-rooted - rooted in life. I think Paul has identified the root cause of our obsession with political ideologies as the means to create order and structure in society. The inherent order we witness in nature is somehow lacking in our manmade, artificial constructs. The trouble is I'm not sure whether there is currently any philosopher or philosophy that can teach us to reverse humanity's obsession with the material, physical world we live in. There are lots of ideas, systems, philosophies, religions that purport to bind us back to God, to nature, but very few achieve that ideal. I hope I'm wrong.

The dilemma you pose maybe explains itself: "ideas, systems, philosophies, religions..." all come from an unquiet mind questing to elevate itself above nature and life.

"religions that purport to bind us back to God, to nature, but very few achieve that ideal."

You are totally right and I would even add that, in my view, Abrahamic religions have been created for that very purpose: to destroy Paul's "two pillars". Your comment reminds me of the book of J. Lamb Lash, "Not in his image", where he showed how nature was central to life in pre-Christian cultures (deep ecology).

Life-rooted. I agree wholeheartedly. Thank.

I didn’t send my kids to school and we spent plenty of time on beaches, in woods and on moors.

I now live in a truck in a woodland/forest garden I have planted. It’s magical and to be honest I don’t like joining the throng unless I have to.

So good to get your posts

Paul thank you for this article which personally rings so true. I would venture to say that this is the most significant article I have read of yours; you needed to build all the groundwork first culminating with the beautiful simplicity of the natural order which we are all so connected. The dark forces control the minds of all these oligarchs, puppeticians, corporate entities, educational institutions and of course ZIM; who for over 2000 years have strived to hide the truth, separate the people from the Earth, nature and the purity of love and the light! I believe the tide is turning and more are awakening to their true origins😊

Most of the time when looking at the world at large I feel hopeless; reading this article ignites again a bit of hope; are we with enough to change the direction of this titanic movement?

I feel the same, but as most people are so brainwashed and docile.. Either by life itself lived or by jabs/medication altering their brains. It's easier to let others decide, so you can always blame it on the other! Perhaps it's better to leave those brainwashed behind?

I tried to waken up others, especially loved ones, now for 5 years and it didn't work.. I'm suffering from so much mental pain, grief, for losing so many others I once loved, only to find myself lost in their zombies world. I turned to Carl Jung, to the Stoics and it does help me a lot. I don't waste time anymore on others that refuse to, or by now cannot, take self responsibility..

Its lonely in many ways but I can deal with that. In the end we're all alone, no matter what state.

What I totally don't understand is how these evil people, these WEF NWO Psychopaths, in a way are very similar braindead! How can you kill others, your own planet, as it takes away your only source of living, of Life.. killing your own audience.. your own customers, your own patients..

Time only will tell what will happen. In the meantime Im always happy to meet others thinking alike.. questioning the same..

In some ways we are all alone, yes, but in another sense we are never truly alone because we are temporary physical manifestations of the Whole...

I try to ignore all those in power as much as possible - for me it is all about making connection, either with your inner true self or with those that resonate in some essential areas with you. I find myself in an impossible situation, so making a chance in that setting had my utmost priority. It is in the make as we speak.

Beautiful piece (and peace). It resonates with me and if I had to use labels, I'm probably closest to Taoism.

Very well written, and bang on point, as always.

Yes please! You have articulated beautifully and simply what I yearn for and the way I strive to live. Much to ponder on what you have written, but thank you for making it so positive.

It's wonderful to see so many people agreeing with this two-fold philosophy. I also have tried to resolve individual freedom vs. protection of nature. So many who espouse one denigrate the other as antithetical. And it is easy to see why, since ungoverned people might choose, in their individual freedom, to exploit or even destroy nature. While protecting nature requires restricting the freedom and autonomy of those individuals who would plunder it. Kind of a catch-22.

Perhaps the key is Responsibility. But to legislate responsibility would by definition negate personal freedom. Love of the natural world would lead us to take responsibility for protecting it. Arrogance might lead us to pillage it for our own benefit. A mature soul filled with love is the ideal free being. But what to do about the immature haters who ruin it for the rest of us? Do we have the right to restrict them? Or the responsibility to protect others (including nature) from them? Whose view takes priority? The ones who believe abortion kills a baby or the ones who believe in free choice for their own body? The ones who see nature as a fellow living organism(s) or the ones who see it as soulless resources to be used at will? The ones who perform abuse against animals or children as part of their chosen "culture" or the ones who see it as an abomination? The ethical vegans or the homesteaders who raise and eat animals?

It's easy to posit that no one's beliefs should be forced onto anyone else, whether by force or by laws. But it's hard to watch some of the results of that play out in the world when other people have different ideas of what is ethical behavior, and who or what should be inviolate.

Nowick Gray's avatar

Major concerns, for sure. IMO it comes down to two kinds of "freedom." The one Paul writes about is rooted in life and therefore we can trust it will carry the necessary responsibility. The kind exercised by the "immature haters" is a perversion or inversion of natural freedom, hijacking it for self-serving ends, and giving it a bad name.

That's a wonderful affirmation Paul. I concur wholeheartedly. Although I'm ashamed to admit I'm very fond of my leaky old Land Rover and my welder:-(. Apart from that, I'm totally on board. :-).

Yes, I certainly hope people are finally awakening!
